stick to dogsMay 29, 2009 I tried this umbrella thing on my cat and it did not work well. he just continuously attacked the umbrella until it was destroyed...
maybe they should make a giant hamster ball for my cat that somehow attaches to a leash? not sure what to do to resolve my issue. any suggestions?

Great Idea but needs workJan 18, 2009 excitedly I opened the package thinking this was the answer to my wet dog issues.. the start was okay but then it turned to trying really hard to keep the dog under the thing, the handle was hard to (excuse the pun) handle it was rigid and unyielding and even though my dog is small (maltese), it was hard to keep him under the umbrella when he was trying to go potty I would have to literally go with him to the bush or tree... the leash that is to be attached to neck collar or body harness was loose perhaps if they reversed it and made the handle leash loose and the leash handle rigid it would be easier to handle and keep the dog under it... It is cute but if cute is all you want and you don't care about functionality then this is great, I say a good redesign is in order...

good quality, good price, fast delivery, nice people to make business withJan 07, 2008 The doggy umbrella seems to be a great idea, unfortunatelly my dog is afraid of it. She doesn't want to walk with the umbrella on top of her. I need to find a way to train her for that. (suggestions?) I tried hidding treats under it when it's at home, but once she gets it hooked to her collar, she just doesn't like it. I got a nice note from seller, she emailed me about it and she is interested in finding out if I solved the problem. She even offered a return. Though I want to keep on trying. I wish they had these umbrellas for bigger dogs too. One problem I see... is also, that most dogs are used to have a long cord leash. This umbrella limits the dog to be only by the owner and they don't feel comfortable trying to make their "needs" being so limited in their own space. Check it, it is only for "very small dogs". If they could make something similar with special belts that attach to the dog's body and could allow the dog go further with a different type of handle of course, it would be great. (I wish I was an inventor). Any way, for people that have their tiny dogs trained to walk right by the owner, could be a very usefull thing. Go for it.
