Excellent productSep 23, 2009 I had heard about the Illusion collar through Cesar's books. These kind of collars are not available in India, so I had to get it imported from the States. I've been using this collar since a month now and I believe that my German Shepherd is much well behaved on walks. I have increased the walking periods to close to an hour now and I really enjoy being with my pal.
Unlike earlier, he doesn't pull me anymore, the length of the leash is just appropriate and also putting it on and taking it off is a routine now which kind of is a ritual now.
Hope this review is useful to people.
Thanks,
Rajiv

I'd recommend this product to anyoneSep 12, 2009 I'd recommend this product to anyone that has a dog that loves to pull, very excitable or just active. It's great!

Cesar Millan dog collarAug 30, 2009 This collar is supposed to keep the guide portion at the top of the dogs neck, and it doesnt as it twists and slips around the neck. The slip through portion tightens ok but does not slacken when tension was released. I expected much more from cesar's stuff.

keeps dog fousedJul 12, 2009 The Illusion collar works very well and is easy to place on the animal. It is necessary to make sure the collar is adjusted to where it is be in place. At times the the black nylon seems to "get stuck" so it is important to make sure it is not tight. Overall, my dog responds well, it only requires a mild tug for correction. One needs to be consistent but that is try with any teaching program.

Doesn't Work for Pulling DogJun 27, 2009 My dog pulls. She always wants to be ahead of me. She is a bloodhound and that's probably her instinct to lead me around.
If your dog pulls, this thing doesn't work at all. First, the straps that are supposed to keep the correction collar part of the contraption at the right spot on her neck are made of nylon and they bend. Basically, you end up with the two straps that are supposed to be around the base of her neck and the top end up both around the base of the neck. Next, the correction cord gets caught underneath one of the nylon straps and then it won't slip through the ring and give any kind of correction to the dog.
If you have a well behaved dog that doesn't pull and stays by your side, I guess this would work. But then again, why would you need this if you had a dog that was that well behaved?
